Another common stress symptom is an increased inability to make a decision and finding that realization frustrating. Many people suffering from stress just can't handle any more and one of the first things that can go is the ability to make logical decisions. Many adopt a carefree attitude that is anything but helpful. A stress symptom can also manifest itself in the increased feeling that there is so much that needs to be accomplished that you couldn't possibly take the time out to go see a movie or have a nice relaxing dinner in a restaurant. This type of stress symptom is especially frustrating, as it also affect the sleep cycle and your ability to relax.
A stress symptom doesn't have to hit you over the head. We all experience at least one symptom of stress on a daily basis, but this is nothing to be alarmed about. However, an unaddressed symptom of stress can lead to increasing health problems, in particular high blood pressure, ulcers and depression. If you experience one or more stress symptom on a daily basis, try to pinpoint where the stress is originating and do something about it. Exercise is a great stress release, especially if your job includes daily stress and there's nothing you can do about it. Teachers, doctors, nurses and many other white-collar professionals experience stress on a daily basis. So do housewives, businessmen and women and students. A stress symptom crosses gender lines and age groups. The bottom line: Listen to your body. If you exhibit a stress symptom, take care of it before it siderails you.
